Another Musical Milestone 2014

Well here it is, the end of another successful year of musical entertainment for Seniors.

Apart from my regular voluntary appearances playing the mighty Wurlitzer Organ at Adelaide’s Capri Cinema, at Suburban Goodwood, I’ve also taken my trusty ‘Magic’ Keyboard to thirty or so venues to entertain, and hopefully gladden the hearts of hundreds of Senior citizens, many in aged care.   Every time I play and see so many smiles, I realize how lucky I’ve been to be given the ability to make music, and so make others happy.   It’s always so gratifying to see and feel the satisfaction of my music bringing back so many pleasant memories of joyful times gone by.

Since obtaining a recognition from the Australian Government earlier this year when I was awarded an OAM (Order of Australia Medal) Australia Day 2014, I’ve been encouraged to carry on making music and entertaining for as long as I’m able.   In 2015 my Theatre Organ Entertainment at the Capri Cinema will continue as well as returning to the microphone as an announcer at the newly formed Community radio Station at Mount Barker (South Australia) Hills Radio 88.9 FM.

Keyboard entertaining for Seniors and those in care will also continue, and more recording for that great aid to Aged Care facilities, ‘The Ultimate Music Activity Collection’ Blue/Red book series, brainchild of my great friend Graeme Pope, mentioned elsewhere on this Web Site and more fully at Aged Care Music Resources.com

Here are some ‘pics’ and reports of some of my appearances this year.

Very best wishes to you all for a Merry Christmas and a healthy and musically happy New Year, not only from me, but also my wonderful wife and best friend Linda who has helped me so much in my musical life.
